Be part of PRoject 500

Maddy’s Mark and Bedford Blues Foundation have joined forces to launch an ambitious new initiative: Project 500. This groundbreaking programme aims to get 500 girls across Bedford playing rugby, using the momentum of the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup to inspire a new generation of female players.

Project 500 aims to take blocks of rugby coaching into secondary schools, to expose more girls to the benefits of our game.

Founded in memory of Maddy Lawrence, a passionate young rugby player who inspired everyone around her, Maddy’s Mark champions the values of kindness, courage, and community.

Project 500 isn’t just a number, it’s a movement. With the shared mission of Maddy’s Mark and the Bedford Blues Foundation, and the inspiration of the Women’s Rugby World Cup behind it, the project is set to change lives, on and off the field.
