Christmas came alive through Sport and our festive HAF camp!

The holiday season came alive at Fitwick Football Centre as children gathered for a Christmas multisport camp hosted by Bedford Blues Foundation. With festive cheer in the air, the camp offered an unforgettable blend of fun, fitness, and holiday excitement, giving participants the perfect opportunity to stay active before the big day.

Over the course of the camp, children were treated to a variety of games and activities designed to engage, entertain, and inspire. From football drills and tag rugby to festive relay races and team challenges, the program had something for everyone, ensuring every participant stayed energized and motivated. The activities weren’t just about physical fitness; they also emphasized teamwork, friendship, and the joy of celebrating together.

Central Bedfordshire provided the funding to make the project happen, alongside a number of other HAF projects throughout Bedfordshire.

The dedicated staff at the Bedford Blues Foundation played a pivotal role in creating a warm and welcoming environment. With their infectious enthusiasm and holiday spirit, they ensured every child felt included and valued. Parents praised the camp for its ability to combine fun with meaningful lessons, fostering confidence and a sense of community among participants.

“Christmas is all about bringing people together, and what better way to do that than through sport?” said Tom Harwood, Head of Bedford Blues Foundation. “It’s wonderful to see the children smiling, learning, and staying active during this special time of year.”

As the camp wrapped up, children left with with a gift from Father Christmas, memories to cherish and a boost of festive energy to carry them into the holiday season. Fitwick Football Centre and the Bedford Blues Foundation once again demonstrated the power of sport to unite, uplift, and celebrate the magic of Christmas.
