Do you have a passion for fundraising? If so then we have an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in events, grants and managing our fundraising activities. We are a growing charity and looking for someone who can help steer our fundraising and enable us to reach more people in our community.

Role Overview:

The Fundraising Manager will play a major part in significantly increasing our growth in corporate, individual and community fundraising. They will lead our restricted and unrestricted fundraising as we enter another exciting period of growth for our charity.

The role will manage and implement high quality fundraising events, as well as lead our bid writing and grant applications. The Fundraising Manager will also build and support a network of volunteers and supporters/donors, communicating regularly with this audience.

The person:

Working within a fast-paced and agile charity, the post holder will need to think on their feet, effectively prioritise their workload, and attack challenges head on. Applicants should have a strong work-ethic and can-do attitude.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Head of Foundation to coordinate our annual fundraising plan.

  • Steer and lead our fundraising activities as part of the Foundation’s management and leadership team.

  • Maximise our fundraising potential, capitalising on both restricted and unrestricted funding.

  • Develop a robust strategy for securing significant gifts from trusts and foundation including prospective research, preparing funding proposals, and cultivating relationships with grant makers.

  • Implement strategy and write bids to grant makers, ensuring high quality and suitable applications.

  • Deliver high quality and well managed events that promote our charities brand and values, as well as generating income. This will include liaising with venues, suppliers, sponsors, donors and volunteers.

  • Develop creative ideas to generate vital funding that supports our work.

  • Create partnerships with corporates, promoting the opportunity to support our charity.

  • Manage a diverse workload with a variety of deadlines and priorities.

  • Work directly with volunteers, building a database and communicating with them on a regular basis.

  • Follow the values of approach and behaviours of the Blues Foundation when working and representing the charity.

  • To carry out other duties for Blues Foundation as and when required by management, not limited to the above.
