Role Overview:
The Operations Manager will ensure our operational practises provide relevant levels of control over the day-to-day management of the organisation for employees, volunteers and our service users. This will encompass safeguarding, all policies and procedures, service delivery reporting and fundraising activities to provide assurance and confidence to the Head of the Foundation and Trustees that we have a safe platform for the delivery of our services to vulnerable people.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintaining of up-to-date relevant policies for all aspects of the running of the foundation, reviewing annually at a minimum.
Lead and manage our safe recruitment processes, working with the management team to bring talented staff on board and identify capacity needs and growth areas.
Lead our onboarding and staff training programme, as well as maintaining our single central register.
Provide agreed reporting and insights of the performance of the operations for the leadership team and trustees on an agreed timescale.
Lead our health and safety requirements, ensuring our delivery sessions and facilities comply with all necessary regulations and processes.
Work with the Head of the Foundation on developing a robust strategy for securing income to support the growth ambitions of the Foundation. Agree plans and deliver this income through a range of activities from events, grants and regular donations.
Lead on providing clear Safeguarding procedures that provide confidence and assurance of a safe environment for employees, volunteers and service users to operate in.
Ensure all elements of Safeguarding practises are delivered and reported on an ongoing basis both within the Foundation and to relevant bodies outside of the organisation.
Manage a diverse workload with a variety of deadlines and priorities.
Manage and support the day to day running of our facilities on site.
Work directly with volunteers, building a database of volunteers and communicating with them on a regular basis.
Follow the values of approach and behaviours of the Blues Foundation when working and representing the charity.
To carry out other duties for Blues Foundation as and when required by management, not limited to the above.
