Mike Adamson joins the team as Fundraising Manager
Blues Foundation are delighted to welcome Mike Adamson into the team at Goldington Road as we plan the next development stage towards continuing our service offering across Bedfordshire.
Since inception in April 2020, Blues Foundation has grown exponentially with some huge societal impact across the local community and further afield, all of which will be outlined in an upcoming development report document.
To increase that impact and project scheme offering ever further, the need to reach out to local businesses and Bedford people to engage in discussion around fundraising support becomes ever greater.
In this new role and Fundraising Manager, Mike will be tasked with leading the strategy for identifying opportunities for businesses and local people to unite their own company values with those of our charity, creating symbiotic relationships and generating engagement.
Having spent 40 years in the banking sector, working with and supporting businesses similar to those we think can help with our work, it is the perfect fit for Blues Foundation moving forwards.
Based locally for nearly all of that time, and with a passion for sport at a local level, we are excited to try and unite the county together for the good of others.
Blues Foundation Manager, Tom Harwood said: “I am delighted to welcome Mike to the team in this formal position, he has been someone who has championed our work since inception. To have even more local knowledge at our disposal is going to be key in the next stage of our development.”
“We are still a relatively small team in the charity so this new role is vital in broadening our horizons out deeper into the community and identifying how our charity and local business can work together for the benefit of its residents.
“Please do get in touch with Mike if you feel like you can help our charity achieve its ambitions and goals. We’d love to hear from you.”
Mike Adamson added: “I was delighted to be approached by the Blues Foundation to become a part of the team. In their short time they have delivered so much within the Bedfordshire community and are making a difference to young people’s lives.”
I am looking forward to helping the Charity grow further with the support of the Bedford’s Business community to enable the organisation to provide further support to the children of Bedfordshire. ”
If you think you or your business could help and offer support, we’d love to hear from you! Please contact mike@bluesfoundation.org.uk; we’d be happy to show you our base at Goldington Road or invite you to one of our outreach programmes.
